Synopsis
A film that explores the controversial life of Subhas Chandra Bose, the Bengali freedom fighter who renounced Gandhi's non-violence teachings and declared open warfare on the British Empire. This fascinating account tells the story of Bose's escape from imprisonment, his travel to Berlin and his voyage from Germany in a U-boat to South East Asia, where he links up with the Japanese to begin his own war. The film depicts the multi-faceted nature of the man: his doubts and drives, his strengths and weaknesses, all the while unveiling a historical perspective.
